Textile waste is a significant contributor of waste to the environment. The textile industry utilizes non-renewable resources yearly to produce millions of pounds of material. Textile manufacturers often use non-renewable resources to make synthetic fibers, chemicals that have dye, and fertilizer used to grow cotton. The recycling drive at Brickell City Centre, with a conveniently located recycling box, will make it easier for residents in Miami to discard unwanted clothes and shoes, divert waste from landfill and close the loop on production.
